Zigzag – London Salon Medal winner

The list of this year’s London Salon Medal winners has now been posted on their website and I am extremely pleased (to say the very least!) to be one of them!

From a worldwide entry of approximately 1300 prints only about 100 or so are selected to be included in the exhibition of London Salon member’s work. Up to 10 medals are awarded and I was fortunate to have been awarded a Medal for my print ‘Zigzag’ shown below. My camera club is Amersham Photographic Society and it also turns out that two of my fellow APS members also got a medal. It is amazing to think that 3 people from the same club could get a London Salon Medal. Congratulations to Gill Morgan and Laurie Turner.

‘Zigzag was taken in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford while I was there with my father. The handrail caught my eye and I asked my 73 year father to walk up and down the stairs a few times (poor chap) until I got the image I had seen.
